The drug is metabolized by the liver, leading to several metabolites including 5α-Dihydronandrolone, 19-Noretiocholanolone and 19-Norandrosterone.
The half life of nandrolone is around four hours when taken orally. The half life is increased to as many as twelve days when it is administered as an intramuscular injection.
The chemical formula of nandrolone is C18H26O2 and its molar mass is 274.404 g/mol.
