The androgen ester is administered as an intramuscular injection but an oral supplement is also available.
The steroid is listed in Schedule III in the United States, Schedule IV in Canada and is a prescription only drug in the United Kingdom.
The half-life of the ester, when administered as an intramuscular injection, is fourteen days. The chemical formula of the steroid is C30H44O3 and its molar mass is 452.679 g/mol.
