oxyshred review

Welcome to our OxyShred review! Before we get into the pros, cons and benefits of this weight loss supplement, let’s first discuss what OxyShred actually is.

OxyShred Review – Introduction

Weight loss supplements are always in high demand. Women and men alike are continually looking for that magical pill, powder or solution that will solve their overweight issues overnight.

Unfortunately, there are no magic supplements in the market.

Manufacturers will try to tell you that they can burn all the excess fat in your body in two days or less, but the truth is that it is impossible.

At least not without leaving you with a host of medical complications.

But guess what, new weight loss products are made every fortnight, and each one of them always claims to be better than the previous one.

oxyshred review

In OxyShred, we have yet another fat burner that claims to be the ultimate solution to adipose issues.

The manufacturer, EHP Labs, has even gone to the extent of claiming that OxyShred is the number 1 Thermogenic Fat Loss Product in the market.

They go a step further to explain that over 2 million people across the world use the supplement. Again, we are all used to such claims so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.

Now, I would like to draw your attention to a few things before I even divulge into whether the fat burner lives up to its claims or not.

First, the supplement does not contain a lot of stimulants.

If you have any experience of weight loss or fat burners, you know that stimulants are very common ingredients. While these do help in getting the intended results, they usually end up leaving the user with a lot of issues.

According to EHP Labs, OxyShred is formulated to burn fat through various other approaches without overloading your body with stimulants. By this, I don’t mean that the supplement is completely free from stimulants. It still does come with some stimulants that may give you sleepless nights, jitters and other issues.

Another thing that you may or may not like about Oxyshred is the fact that it comes in powder form and not capsules as is the case with most weight loss supplements in the market today. If you are one of the guys who is just fed up with gaggling pills every few hours, then you will really love the alternative that is OxyShred.

Unfortunately, when dealing with powder supplements, there are always questions such as; how does it taste? Is there an after taste?

From the reviews I came across, OxyShred’s taste is quite favorable.

The manufacturer has also tried to provide some flavours that help in getting rid of the unpleasant taste. These flavors include; Kiwi Strawberry, Wild Melon, Guava Paradise, Passion fruit, Pink Grapefruit, and Mango.

But of course, we all cannot have the same taste on things so you might feel that it is a bit too much for you. In such cases, you can always drink another flavoured drink to get rid of the after-taste.

How Does OxyShred Work?

OxyShred is formulated to reduce subcutaneous fat. This is the adipose sitting just below your skin. This type of fat is usually stored by the body to be used as a source of energy at a later date.

According to the manufacturer, OxyShred stimulates β2-adrenergic receptors which are responsible for burning down fat.

The supplement will also work alongside your mitochondria to increase the metabolism of fat. The stored adipose will hence be broken down to produce energy while also achieving the desired weight loss results.

OxyShred also works by reducing insulin levels and suppressing calorie absorption.

Low insulin levels are helpful in that they prevent the storage of fat and the absorption of calories. When few calories are being absorbed, and with reduced fat storage, the supplement doesn’t just help to get rid of the existing adipose, but it also prevents accumulation of new fat cells in the body.

Finally, OxyShred is believed to help in controlling the levels of cortisol in the body.

Cortisol is the stress hormone that doesn’t just mess up with your mental wellbeing, but it also prevents efficient weight loss. OxyShred’s formula is supposed to boost your immunity and increase your energy levels to ensure that cortisol levels are always kept under control.

OxyShred’s Ingredients

OxyShred contains many different ingredients. They do have some really good ingredients, but unfortunately, they are all presented in the form of a proprietary blend.

This is a serious issue because there is no way of knowing how much of a specific compound is present in the supplement.

Here is a practical example of the mess that proprietary blends bring; say you are using a fat burner to get rid of the excess fat so that you can get a more chiselled appearance. This is to mean that other than the fat burner, you are also taking a performance enhancer like a pre-workout supplement or other muscle building compounds.

If you don’t know how much of a specific ingredient is available in OxyShred, you will have a difficult time knowing how you can take the other supplements without overdosing on a specific ingredient which can then result in medical complications.

Say, for instance, you are taking OxyShred, but you also kick start your day with a cup of coffee. When you don’t know how much caffeine is available in OxyShred, you won’t know how much coffee you should take to make sure that your body is not overloaded with caffeine.

Another issue with proprietary blend is the fact that a manufacturer can decide to use effective ingredients but to save on costs, they can add the ingredients in limited doses.

When you read the formula of such a compound, you will be impressed by the blend of ingredients but once you start using it you will never see any results, and that’s because the doses are not adequate.

Here are some of the ingredients contained in this supplement:

  • Vitamin C

Vitamin C has great fat burning properties. Studies have even shown that individuals with Vitamin C deficiency usually have a harder time burning fat as compared to other individuals.

Vitamin C also helps in suppressing one’s appetite. This is vital as it helps to prevent excessive intake of calories.

While on the subject calories intake, it’s important to know that Vitamin C can only help you to a certain extent, but if you are consuming too many calories then you won’t feel its effects.

  • Riboflavin (B2)

Riboflavin boosts metabolism in the body. It makes sure that carbs are broken down efficiently to prevent them from getting stored in the body in the form of fats.

  • Acetyl L-Carnitine

When your appetite is suppressed, and you are trying to stick to a calorie-deficit diet, it’s very possible that your energy levels may go down.

This will compromise your ability to undertake physical and other day-to-day activities. Acetyl L-Carnitine is included to make sure that you are fueled continuously. It transports fatty acids to mitochondria where they’ll be used to produce energy.

  • Green Coffee Bean Extract

Green coffee bean extract is rich in chlorogenic acid that reduces glucose levels in the blood. Consequently, your body will burn more fat to produce energy. As a result, fewer fats will be stored in the body.

  • Raspberry Ketones

Raspberry Ketones is one of those ingredients with contradicting scientific results. It was believed that it can increase metabolic rate, but recent studies have shown that it has no impact whatsoever on metabolism.

  • Grapefruit Seed Extract

Grapefruit seed extract is supposed to help in suppressing appetite. However, I couldn’t get a single reliable source proving that it can actually do this.

  • Higenamine HCL

Higenamine HCl stimulates adrenergic receptors to promote fat loss in the body. Unfortunately, this compound is linked to some severe adverse reactions.

It is extracted from a plant known as aconite whose consumption has been associated with issues such as arrhythmias and even sudden death. The fact that we don’t know how much of it is contained makes me worry even more.

  • Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 has a more proven profile. It improves the body’s ability to break down food for the production of energy instead of it being converted and stored as fat.

Side Effects of OxyShred

Some of the side effects reported by users include:

  • Anxiety
  • Nervousness
  • Jitteriness
  • Racing heart rate
  • Insomnia

Most of these side effects are brought by the caffeine present in the supplement.

The presence of Higenamine HCL also poses severe risks to cardiovascular health.

OxyShred Review – Final Thoughts

It is very difficult to recommend any supplement whose basis is on a proprietary blend.

Yes, we have seen a few proven ingredients present here, but unfortunately, without knowing their individual doses, it is impossible to tell whether they’re effective or not.

The presence of Higenamine HCL is also something to worry about.

You should also know that OxyShred is one of the costlier fat burners in the market.

I don’t think spending a good amount of your cash on a supplement based on proprietary blends is the wisest decision you can make.

As such, to sum up this OxyShred review, we ultimately don’t recommend OxyShred!
